MGCCC holding annual Student Art Show at the Harrison County campus

Any time is a great time to admire beautiful art pieces!

Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College students are hosting their annual Spring Student Art Exhibit at the Harrison County campus.

The showcase is free to the public for the month of April and it includes projects made in the school’s drawing, design, painting, and computer art courses.

Vinh Vo is a sophomore art student at MGCCC and he says the showcase has made him more confident in his work. “Normally I’m actually kind of shy with showing my art a lot because normally I always feel insecure because I always think ‘aw man I look at it and it’s not that good I don’t want to show to anyone’ so I just hide it, but like showing stuff like this I feel more confident with doing my art and I think I’ve gotten a lot better with just showing it to others.”

The gallery hours for the exhibit are 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday at the Fine Arts Building.
