Mississippi Coast Model Railroad Museum holds Egg Hunt and Easter Celebration

Over 3,500 eggs were up for grabs as families waited for their chance to meet the Easter Bunny at one Coast museum.

On Saturday, the Mississippi Coast Model Railroad Museum held its annual Easter Egg Hunt and Celebration.

Children roamed the area collecting eggs, while some took a ride on Thomas the Train and his friends. The Easter Bunny even took a little time to take pictures with the kids.

Museum Volunteer Michael Hesser says it is great to see families spending time together. “I noticed that we got grandparents, we got moms and dads, and everyone is just having fun being together for a change. It’s a day off. It’s not too hot. It’s nice. Somewhat kind of gloomy, but it’s pretty nice weather.”

The Mississippi Coast Model Railroad Museum is planning to relocate in the near future. We will keep you updated on their upcoming big move, just down the street from its current location on Pass Road.
