New Life Family Church Gulf Coast celebrates Easter

It was one big party as a Biloxi church celebrated the resurrection of Jesus Christ on Sunday.

More than 2,000 people graced the floors of New Life Family Church Gulf Coast for the Easter weekend. The Easter celebration featured a petting zoo, fun activities for the whole family, and multiple church services.

The church held its first Easter Sunday in 1999. Only 20 people showed up that year, a far contrast to where the church stands today. Next Generation Pastor Bryce Nettles said, “Yes, the reason we are here is because we have a Lord and savior, Jesus Christ, who has saved us from our sins, but we can have fun too and that’s what we want to have. This is a celebration. Easter is a celebration Sunday.”

Worship Pastor Gavin Price said, “It’s kind of the Super Bowl for the church. It’s our biggest day of the year and just anything to reach people, to make them feel at home, to have fun as we celebrate Jesus.”

New Life Family Church also says if you are looking for a home, their doors are always open every Sunday morning at 8, 8:30, and 11 a.m.
