Bacot Foundation gearing up for annual Jolly
A Jolly good time is less than six weeks away. Today, members of the Bacot Foundation hosted their annual kickoff party.
The Jolly is a golf tournament set for May 12th and 13th. The event raises a couple hundred thousand dollars. The money raised goes back to charities and organizations in South Mississippi.
Party attendees witness firsthand how the Bacot Foundation upholds its promises, as they gave checks to 19 local nonprofits. Dream Program Executive Director Billy Dungan said, “The Dream Program provides the opportunities for people with disabilities to participate in organization sports. We are so fortunate with the Bacot Foundation and they have been with us all 17 years they have been in existence.”
IP Casino Director of Marketing Kim Goetz said, “We have been partners with the Bacot Foundation for well over a decade. We have found that what they do in our community really touches everything out there. It really effects our children and what’s growing up in our communities and we like to support that.”
The IP Casino presented a $100,000 check during the kickoff party. In total, the casino has donated over $3 million to the Bacot Foundation of South Mississippi.
