Gulf Coast Military and Civilian Job Fair took place in Biloxi

Those who were looking for a career went to the Gulf Coast Military and Civilian Job Fair at the Biloxi Civic Center.

More than 50 businesses were set up, looking for new workers to add to their companies.

The job fair welcomed anyone seeking employment, but was geared towards veterans. Companies including law enforcement, Gulf Coast casinos, and universities had representatives on site, ready to hire. Government Job Fair Network Director Adam Todd said, “We were able to actually go face-to-face with someone who actually takes part in the hiring process. We know times have changed and a lot of organizations are asking individuals to go back home and do applications online and that sort of thing, but when you are able to spend ten minutes with the same person who will be printing out those applications when they get back to the office, you are able to make a lasting impression.”

If you did not make it out to the job fair, you are encouraged to visit jobfairs.ms.gov.
