One Clean Gulfport is asking for your help to stop littering.

One Clean Gulfport is an organization made up of volunteers against littering. They are currently conducting a survey that will help determine behaviors and attitudes toward littering.

Early study results show that 16 percent of Gulfport residents are causing 100 percent of litter. 84 percent said they have never littered.

Dr. Debra Hilgeman explains how One Clean Gulfport will use these statistics to minimize littering. “And then when the messaging starts and the clean ups start, then we can go back and we can use this survey, the baseline survey, and go back and measure. And determine what’s working, what’s not working, and how we can best move forward to solve the problem with litter.”
