Residents celebrate at the Easter Parade and Egg Hunt in Waveland
The Easter Bunny was spotted in Hancock County, hiding eggs, and putting a smile on children’s faces.
The City of Waveland partnered with Hancock County Tourism Development to host its first ever Easter Parade and Egg Hunt under the direction of Mayor Jay Trapani.
Children of all ages were able to get their faces painted, interact with the animals at the petting zoo, and meet the Easter Bunny.
For Tiffany Lee Cowman, its events like these that keeps Waveland going strong. “It’s all for the children. Everything we do is for the children. We want them to enjoy life. We want them to have all the joys we could possibly give them, and I’m speaking as a mother and a community member.”
This Easter parade and egg hunt was inspired by Waveland’s history of parade and festivals for many different occasions.
