St. James students donate to tornado survivors
St. James Catholic School is helping Rolling Fork after tornados destroyed the town last Friday.
Students helped pack up a U-Haul with diapers, blankets, and Easter baskets. The students at St. James have been collecting these items throughout the week.
Easter is coming up next weekend and the students wanted to make sure the children in north Mississippi have a little light in their lives.
Assistant Principal Tricia Harvey tells News 25 that moments like these teach the children. “It teaches our children that we can always give aid. We can always give help. And, once again, it’s part of our mission. As we help those that are around us in any way that we can, even the smallest action can provide happiness and relief to other people around us.”
St. James Catholic School has prepared a cool place for the candy to be stored before Easter.
