President Obama Announces Exec. Actions to Improve Vet Care
Tuesday, at the American Legion Convention in Charlotte, North Carolina, President Barack Obama announced new executive actions to help improve mental healthcare for veterans and their families.
Addressing a large group of veterans, he told them they’re the reason the U.S. is the world’s greatest force for freedom and human dignity. The President also called the misconduct at VA facilities inexcusable and outrageous, and pledged to fix the problems. Obama also urged all Americans to support American troops and American veterans.
Obama says, “You helped the United States of America become what we are today: the greatest democratic, economic, and military force for freedom and human dignity that the world has ever known."
