Cursed: the Bell Witch

A former South Mississippi law enforcement official has crossed the line into the national spotlight.
John Ceallach stars in A&E’s new show “Cursed: The Bell Witch”, a story about a legend dating back to the 1800s. The legend says that in the 1800s John Bell had a child out of wedlock with a witch named Kate Batts. To hide this, he murdered her. In return, she cursed his bloodline from the grave.
News 25 caught up with Ceallach, a direct descendant of John Bell. Using his military and law enforcement background, he felt that he was the best to tackle this case for his family. “Not just a presentation, you know, it’s not. This is something that hopefully the audience will see along the way, the journey that I had to go through and also bring my friend along for this one.”
“Cursed: the Bell Witch” made its debut tonight on A&E. You can catch it again next week at 9 p.m.
