Jackson County man faces sex crime charges
A Jackson County man has turned himself in after being accused of sexual battery on a teenager.
39-year-old Brandon Merrill turned himself in on Sept. 9, 2022 to face two counts of sexual battery and one count of touching a child for lustful purposes.
According to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, the incident allegedly occurred at a house in unincorporated Moss Point.
He is in the Jackson County jail under a $750,000 bond. The jail docket shows he was arrested on Tuesday.
