2015 Fear Fete Film Festival

It was perfect weather for a blood bath tonight. The first day of this year’s three day Fear Fete Film Festival kicked off on the Dead Carpet Walk in Biloxi this evening. News 25’s Toni Miles was in the middle of all the action and brings us more from this event.
It wasn’t a full moon but the monsters and murderers were out in full force in downtown Biloxi Friday night. Before escaping, we managed to catch up with a few of them before nightfall.
There were a lot of picture perfect moments for visiting and local horror film starts. Actor Jason Craig said, “This is one of the greatest places in the country down here. I always tell people this has everything L.A has for half the price. We just need everything else. Hollywood has moved it.”
These are just a few of the scary characters out Friday night and we found even monsters like our Southern Hospitality. “So far it’s been great. Everybody’s friendly and accommodating. Nobody’s stepped on my foot or called me a bad name, so it’s been good,” said actor Sid Haig.
Brutus “the Barber” Beefcake, long time WWF wrestler looking to scratch something new off his bucket list, is starring in a horror film. On this night, he was armed as usual. Escorts were needed as the celebrities rolled in and walked onto the Dead Carpet.
As for local filmmakers, hoping to keep the dream alive: “Just got to pick yourself up by the boot straps and just continue on down the road,” said actor Scott Schwargtz.
Whether the villain or the victim, the show must go on.
The Fear Fete Festival continues tomorrow and Sunday at the Coast Coliseum. You can mingle with the monsters, take part in activities like laser tag while evading zombies and learn how to do scary looking makeup.
