Ellzey’s Hardware reopens after closing in 2022

After closing its door in August, 2022, the 104-year-old business Ellzey’s Hardware in Biloxi is back open.

Two Biloxi sisters-in-law, Lauren and Dallas Ellis, who grew up going at the legendary spot decided to purchase the store from the original owners to keep the local business running.

While much of the original store is still the same, the duo decided to add some new products to the spot such as marine supplies, fishing tackle, apparel lines, and more.

Some new amenities were also added, including a key cutting machine and an old-time soda machine.

The owners say they’re ecstatic to see the community’s positive reaction to the re-opening. Dallas said, “It’s just really great to have the community just welcoming us back and everybody being excited to have us open again!”

Lauren says, “We were so excited to see so many familiar faces and just leaders of our city come in and want to just be a part of this.”

The store is located at 750 Howard Avenue in Biloxi.
