Five arrested on drug charges in Jackson County
After a month long investigation, five people are accused of conspiring to bring drugs into the Jackson County Adult Detention Center.
Sheriff John Ledbetter says the investigation started after an inspection of inmate mail, phone calls, and messages.
Victoria Linsley is charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute.
Cherish Aucoin and Ashlie Wilson are each charged with conspiracy to possess a controlled substance in a correctional facility and conspiracy to distribute.
Rosemary Egan and Nathan Hogan were also charged with the same as Wilson and Aucoin.
Linsley and Hogan were arrested on Tuesday and the other three were already in jail on unrelated charges.
The investigation is ongoing and more arrests are possible.
