Mississippi Gulf Coast Chamber of Commerce hosts annual meeting

The Mississippi Gulf Coast Chamber of Commerce held their annual meeting at the Beau Rivage.

Over 600 members flooded the doors of the Magnolia Ballroom to review the past year.

The annual meeting serves as a forum for educating membership, recognizing leadership, and reviewing accomplishments and initiatives for the Chamber of Commerce.

During the meeting, the Gulf Coast Chamber received a four-star accreditation from the United States Chamber of Commerce.

Along with this honor, Dave Dennis received the Pat Santucci Spirit of the Coast Award. Dennis said, “It means that people acknowledge that what you’re doing to make the community better is important because a lot of people are doing it and leadership certainly does make a difference…it matters, and it’s just humbling that people acknowledge that it matters and it’s been impactful in the community, and I’ll continue to do it!”

The meeting also included the passing of the torch going from President Sam Sandoz to new president Amber Olsen.
