Residents celebrate at the Carnival Association of Long Beach Parade

It does not matter if it is raining or if there is sunshine because the City of Long Beach knows how to party.

The Carnival Association of Long Beach Parade took to the streets Saturday night for the 53rd annual Mardi Gras Celebration.

Over 32 registered floats went cruising through the night parade. Hundreds of carnival lovers assembled through Downtown Long Beach to party with friends and family while catching beads, footballs, and more.

The Krewe of Royal Riot participated in the parade and says it is the atmosphere that keeps bringing them back. Krewe of Royal Riot float owner Justin Bennett said, “All of the friends and the family being with us. Family and friends being together. It’s just a big family thing for us all, our kids are on here, mommas, and daddies, and grandparents.”

The Carnival Association of Long Beach Parade is known as the family fun parade here on the Southern Mississippi Coast.
