Gulf Coast Industries Cruisin’ Sock Hop
Hot food, good music, and cool cars, it was all part of Gulf Coast Industries’ fourth annual Cruisin’ Sock Hop. Gulf Coast Industries is a mental health facility that provides work skills and training for adults with intellectual and development disabilities.
Today, Cruisers and special needs members of our community got together for a fun time dancing to oldies but goodies, revving up classic cruisers and just having a great time.
Gulf Coast Industries Assistant Manager Allen Forrest said, “The sock hop is all about the people in our community having a lot of fun. Getting everyone in the outer community to our inner community and getting them to interact so that everybody knows that we’re here, that’s what it’s all about, getting the community to knit further together.”
