Mickey Gilley Stops in Downtown Gulfport
Legendary country music star Mickey Gilley is on the Coast today. He stopped in downtown Gulfport to check out the newly opened restaurant named after him.
Gilley’s Honky Tonk Grill is just a week old and Gilley wanted to check in on how business was going. This is not the first visit Gilley has paid to Honky Tonk. Owner Stephen Barnette said Gilley drove over the original mechanical bull that is just inside the restaurant. He also gave the business his blessing.
The country star performs tonight at the IP Casino.
He also has five other restaurants and bars named after him in places like Las Vegas and Texas.
