WOW Care Closet helps women on the Gulf Coast

WOW Care Closet in Gulfport has everything a woman needs when it comes to making a great impression or just have the basic necessities when it comes to clothes.

WOW, Women of Wisdom Inc, is an organization that began in 1999. It started as a luncheon that happens once a month to empower, encourage, and energize women along the Gulf Coast.

Robin Killeen, founder of WOW, wanted to carry on her mission to help women in other ways, which is why she created the Care Closet.

The WOW Care Closet provides professional attire, dresses, and more for any woman needing a new outfit or new wardrobe to enter the workplace.

The closet is staffed by volunteers who help women of all shapes and sizes. Donations from individuals, churches, and other businesses are taken in daily.  Killeen said, “Our goal is to help them make a great first impression or to make them feel good about going to work. So, we not only give them outfits, we give them hope and self-confidence at the WOW Care Closet. We’re just so blessed that God uses us in the community to help women.”
