Mississippi Highway Patrol investigating fatal accident that claimed the lives of two in Harrison County
State Troopers responded to a head-on collision on Interstate 10 West near the 31-mile marker involving three vehicles in Harrison County, Sunday, January 10th, 2021 at 1:06 a.m. that claimed the life of two individuals.
State Troopers said it appeared that a 2018 Chevrolet passenger car driven by 42-year-old Michael Orourke of Slidell, Louisiana was traveling east in the westbound lane when he collided head-on with a 2012 Honda passenger car that was driven by 28-year-old Madison Conway of Long Beach, California that was traveling west in the westbound lane.
The 2018 Chevrolet Malibu then collided with a third vehicle that was also traveling west.
The driver of the third vehicle, a Gulfport resident, sustained moderate injuries during the collision. Michael Orourke and Madison Conway were both pronounced deceased at the scene.
The accident is still currently under investigation by the Mississippi Highway Patrol.
