MSDH reports 2,175 new COVID-19 cases and 40 deaths

The Mississippi State Department of Health reports 2,175 new COVID-19 cases and 40 new deaths.

The statewide total now stands at 233,665 cases and 5,101 deaths.

Here are the numbers in our area:

• Hancock County has 2,290 cases and 57 deaths
• Harrison County stands at 11,904 cases and 169 deaths
• Jackson County has 9,423 cases and 166 deaths
• George County has 1,803 cases and 37 deaths
• Stone County has 1,302 cases and 18 deaths
• Pearl River County stands at 2,926 cases and 88 deaths
