MGCCC’s Navonteque Strong signs with LSU

Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College linebacker Navonteque Strong had been committed to Mississippi State up until last night, but there had been rumblings about this potential flip to LSU for a few weeks leading up to the big day.

In 2020, the one they call Bug led the Bulldogs in tackles, tackles for loss, sacks, and forced fumbles en route to a second straight MACCC state title game bid.

In 2019, Strong was a part of MGCCC’s national championship team just about a month before LSU won its national title.

According to 24/7 Sports, he’s the nation’s top ranked inside linebacker.
