Covid-19: 644 new cases, 33 new deaths statewide

The Mississippi State Department of Health reports 644 new COVID-19 cases and 33 new deaths, including one new death in George County, one new death in Pearl River County, and one new death in Jackson County.

The statewide total now stands at 68,293 confirmed cases and 1,944 deaths.

Here’s a look at cases by county in South Mississippi:

• Hancock County is at 402 cases and 14 deaths
• Harrison County is at 2,601 cases and 36 deaths
• Jackson County is at 2,314 cases and 44 deaths
• Stone County is at 211 cases and five deaths
• George County has 595 cases and six deaths
• Pearl River County has 559 cases and 40 deaths
