COVID-19: 476 new cases, 16 new deaths statewide

The Mississippi State Department of Health reported 476 new COVID-19 cases and 16 new deaths.

The statewide total now stands at 67,649 confirmed cases and 1,912 deaths.

Here are the numbers in our area:

• Hancock County is at 395 cases and 14 deaths
• Harrison County is at 2,530 cases and 36 deaths
• Jackson County is at 2,288 cases and 43 deaths
• Stone County is at 205 cases and five deaths
• George County has 589 cases and five deaths
• Pearl River County has 554 cases and 39 deaths
