COVID-19: 1,635 new cases, 31 new deaths

The Mississippi State Department of Health reported 1,635 new COVID-19 cases and 31 new deaths including one in Harrison County and one in Jackson County.

The statewide total now stands at 45,524 confirmed cases and 1,389 deaths.

Here are numbers for our area:

• Hancock County is at 212 cases and 14 deaths
• Harrison County is 1,521 cases and 20 deaths
• Jackson County is at 1,183 cases and 23 deaths
• Stone County is at 109 cases and two deaths
• George County has 192 cases and three deaths
• Pearl River County has 383 cases and 32 deaths
