Car Chase Ends in Water
A police chase beginning in Gulfport ends in the Mississippi Sound near Henderson Point today.
Harrison County Sheriff Melvin Brisolara tells News 25, 43-year-old Kimberly Stiglet is in custody after fleeing police, in what started as a narcotics investigation.
Public Information Officer Damon McDaniel says the chase started in Gulfport but the pursuit was terminated in Long Beach. The Harrison County Sheriff’s Department spotted Stiglet in the Volkswagen convertible on the bridge entering Hancock County. Stiglet then made a U-turn, entering back into Harrison County, turned onto Bayview and drove into the water at Henderson Point.
She swam out of her car with no injuries. She was taken into custody shortly after.
