07/09 — Brantly’s “Hot and Humid” Thursday Afternoon Forecast

After several rainy days, skies are looking a little more clear this afternoon. Rain chances are down to just 20 percent for Thursday and Friday, but the air will continue to feel damp with a humid air mass in place. High temperatures will top out in the lower 90s for most of the coast, but heat index values will make it feel like it’s in the triple digits for many locations.

Heading into the weekend, rain chances increase slightly to 30 percent as we could see some afternoon pop-up showers and storms. Otherwise, skies will be mostly sunny to partly cloudy. High temperatures on Saturday and Sunday will rise into the mid-90s, but heat index values of 100-110 degrees can be expected. Stay hydrated and limit your time outdoors in the middle of the day to avoid heat-related illnesses.
