Vancleave woman charged with stabbing her father multiple times

A Vancleave woman is in the Jackson County Adult Detention Center charged with stabbing her father multiple times around 9:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 4^th.

Sheriff Mike Ezell says 58-year-old Hazelon Rich and her father were passengers in a car on Old Fort Bayou going to Vancleave. The sheriff says Rich and her father began arguing and Rich allegedly pulled a knife and stabbed her father.

Rich is charged with aggravated domestic assault. She made an initial court appearance Monday and her bond is set at $100,000. Her father was hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries.
