Man Receiving Medical Assistance Flees
Earlier today, a medical emergency turned violent after a man suffering a seizure attacked those assisting him and fled.
According to the D’iberville Police, medical personnel responded to the Shoe Carnival in the Promenade Shopping Center to assist a man having a seizure inside the store. Fifty year old Joseph Paul Bonin of Biloxi was being evaluated by medical personnel when he became combative and fled the scene.
Officers then engaged in a vehicle pursuit where Bonin ran a stop sign and crashed into a wooded area. Bonin was taken to custody without further incident.
The suspect has been charged with traffic citations and was released to his family due to medical conditions.
