Women for Progress March in Bay St. Louis tonight

The social justice momentum isn’t slowing down anytime soon with rallies planned across the Coast. Many event organizers say they won’t stop until we see change.

Tonight in Bay St. Louis there will be a ‘women for progress’ march. This march is in protest of the killing of black people in America.

The march is hosted by 100 Women DBA which is a program under the 100 Men Hall in Bay St. Louis.

Event Organizers encourage everyone to attend this march. Organizer Rachel Dangermond said, “Well one of the beauties of the marches that I am seeing is that there are a lot of white people turning up at these marches and they are showing up with their children. So, I think it is very important because the opposite of being a racist in this country is not not being a racist, it’s being anti-racist. Racism is encoded into the DNA of this country so we have to fight against that every day.”

The march starts at 6 p.m. and the group will meet at the 100 Men Hall in Bay St. Louis.
