Victim identified in fatal two vehicle crash in Hancock County

Hancock County Coroner Jim Faulk says 68-year-old Jerry Wayne Fryerson died of blunt force trauma Sunday morning after a two vehicle crash.

It happened on Highway 603 and Shiyou Road just before 1 a.m. when a jeep traveling north crossed the center line and collided with a Chevrolet pickup traveling south.

The driver of the jeep, Fryerson, was pronounced dead. The other is suffering life-threatening injuries.

The accident is currently under investigation.
