Mississippi State’s Justin Foscue drafted by Texas Rangers 14th overall

Mississippi State second baseman Justin Foscue heard his name called by the Texas Rangers as the 14th overall selection in the first year player draft.

The right-handed junior is ranked as the top player at his position, according to MLB Pipeline and 32nd overall.

Foscue broke out as a sophomore with 14 home runs and 60 RBI on a .331 batting average, helping lead the Bulldogs to the College World Series in both 2018 and 2019.

The slot value for his draft position is more than $4 million.
