Inmate dies one day after arriving in Mississippi prison
An autopsy will be done on a 51-year-old Mississippi inmate who died a day after arriving in prison.
Robert Bond Jr. received a three year sentence May 7th after being convicted of possession of a controlled substance in Harrison County.
Records show he arrived in Central Mississippi Correctional Facility on Thursday. The Department of Corrections says Bond was taken Friday night from the prison to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The department says no foul play is suspected. Bond was at least the 41st inmate to die in a Mississippi prison since late December.
