Taysom Hill re-signs with New Orleans Saints

Taysom Hill is far from expendable in the Saints quarterback room, signing a new two-year contract on Sunday worth $21 million, $16 million of that guaranteed with a one million dollar bonus based on performance.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the deal replaces Hill’s current one year, $4.6 tender that the Saints offered him last month as a restricted free agent.

The 29-year-old played all over the field in 2019, logging 264 snaps across 17 games including playoffs at quarterback, tight end, wide receiver, slot receiver, running back, and full back. That’s not even counting the more than 50 percent of his game action coming on special teams.
