Jackson County Chamber of Commerce announces postponements
The Jackson County Chamber of Commerce is closely monitoring the healthcare situation locally and nationwide.
The Mississippi State Department of Health has released several strong recommendations, including postponing or cancelling any mass gatherings of 250+ people.
The chamber has also conferred with Singing River Health System administration and doctors, as well as corporate leaders in our community, and have decided to postpone next week’s Chamber events
• March 16th (Monday) – no crawfish boil the night before the Trade Show (will be rescheduled)
• March 17th (Tuesday) – no Trade Show (will be rescheduled)
• March 18th (Wednesday) – no Breakfast with the Secretary, featuring Secretary of State Michael Watson (will be rescheduled)
• March 19th (Thursday) – no Chamber Board of Directors Meeting (will be rescheduled)
All four of these events are in stand-down status, not cancelled. The Jackson County Chamber of Commerce will review from the CDC, MS Department of Health, Jackson County Emergency Management Agency, and Singing River Health System each day to provide a one-stop shop of easily digested, trusted, and updated information for our members, especially small businesses. We will report every weekday at noon across a myriad of media: website, Facebook, and Twitter.
