Biloxi police investigating deadly shooting

Biloxi police are investigating the scene of a deadly shooting. It happened around 2 p.m. inside a home on Rustwood Drive off of Popps Ferry Road.

According to police, a woman was shot after a struggle involving a gun. She was taken to a local hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries.

Biloxi police say at least one of the people involved in the struggle lives in the home where the crime took place.

Police now have a person of interest. No word on a potential motive or whether or not the suspect and victim are related.

Residents in the area say it is usually a quiet neighborhood and a number of people were visibly shaken as police collected evidence from the scene.
