Mississippi Corvette Club celebrating Mardi Gras with “mini-parades” at local senior centers

It’s time to rev your engines!

The Mississippi Corvette Club will be celebrating Mardi Gras today.

The crew will be heading to numerous senior centers around the Mississippi Gulf Coast, to help let the good times roll with “mini Mardi Gras parades.”

This parade is for those seniors who can’t get out to the big parades. Unlike most parades, the participants won’t throw anything; instead they will park their Corvettes and give out beads and hugs.

The group says, “The smiles make it all worth it.”

The Mississippi Corvette Club is expected to make the following stops:

• 10:30am-12:30 p.m., Seashore Highlands
• 1:00-2:00 p.m., Bay Cove
• 2:30-3:30 p.m., Lemoyne Assisted Living
