02/05 – Brantly’s “Rain Again Thursday” Wednesday Night Forecast

Fog has developed across South Mississippi as lingering moisture from today’s rain has settled to the surface. Fog will likely continue through the middle of Thursday morning, especially along the coast of the Mississippi Sound.

Showers and storms are likely again Thursday morning. Heavy rain, gusty winds, lightning, and isolated tornadoes are all threats with any strong or severe storms that develop.

High temperatures will be cooler due to heavy cloud cover, only topping out in the lower to mid 60s.

By Friday morning, colder air will arrive with morning lows dipping into the mid to upper 30s. Generally dry conditions are expected Friday and Friday night as a surface high pressure ridge drifts east across the area, but will reintroduce isolated to scattered showers Saturday and Saturday evening.

By late Saturday night high pressure will begin to rebuild into the area from the west, bringing back dry conditions and mostly clear skies.
