Suspect arrested in deadly hit and run at CSL Plasma Center

A suspect is behind bars tonight in connection with the deadly hit and run in Gulfport.

Following a nearly six hour search, Justin Overall was taken into custody by Gulfport Police. Six victims were struck by Overall’s vehicle at the CSL Plasma Center Off of Highway 49.

Four of the victims were transported to a local hospital. One was treated on scene and one victim, identified as Doris Duckworth, died as a result of her injuries on scene.  Police Chief Leonard Papania said, “And I’d say first, and foremost, our hearts go out to the families who are experiencing the pains from today’s events especially to the Duckworth family. Our team spent the whole day working on this and through the efforts of them, and the support through the community, and really the help of the media, we were able to bring this to a conclusion this evening.”
