3rd annual Second Chance Program

For the third year in a row, the City of Long Beach is hosting its second chance program.

From February 1st through the 29th, residents have the chance to take care of existing warrants, fines, and misdemeanor charges without being arrested and having to bond out.

This allows residents the chance to be cleared out of the court system and start fresh.

Long Beach Community Affairs Director Jenny Levens says this is an exciting opportunity for the entire city they hope will continue to help for many years. “It just improves every year and it gives people a second chance if they need to get that driver’s license back and get everything all squared away to get that job. It gets them out of our court systems so they can just move on.”

Last year, the program was able to clear 140 people. You will need proof of current address and one form of identification for initial qualification for the program.
