Paralyzed Veterans Bocci Ball Tournament

This weekend is the fourth annual Paralyzed Veterans Bocci Ball Tournament in Harrison County.

This annual event lets veterans of all skill sets and abilities get out of their house and get moving.

Bocci ball players from as far as New Orleans came to join in on the fun.

This tournament runs until 5 p.m. today and tomorrow. Paralyzed Veterans President Cheryl Lewis said, “It is unbelievable to watch someone go from thinking they can’t do it to winning a match and the smile on their face is priceless, just winning one match puts a smile on their face.”

Anyone is welcome to attend this event at the County Farm Road Hurricane Shelter in Harrison County. There are bocci ball coaches on site for those new to the game or you can go just to watch.
