Lucedale man charged in Barton community shooting

A Lucedale man is behind bars, charged with aggravated assault in connection with a Wednesday night shooting.

Jonah Lekey Pinkney, 36, was charged and taken to the George County jail awaiting a bond hearing.

Sheriff Keith Havard said Pinkney was identified as a suspect in a shooting in the Barton community.

He also thanked the community for sharing a post made to social media that helped find Pinkney and bring him into custody.
