Waffle House robbery arrest

A man was taken into custody following a violent robbery at a local Waffle House.

According to Gulfport Police, Willie Duckworth entered a Waffle House, jumped over the counter, assaulted an employee and took cash from the register before fleeing the scene.

Detectives reviewed surveillance footage and were able to track him down after a brief pursuit on Pass Road.

Duckworth was taken to the Harrison County Jail and is being charged with two counts of robbery and one count of motor vehicle theft.
