St. Martin man sentenced to life after pleading guilty to murder

Phillip York was sentenced to life in prison today for the murder of Sarah Jane Willard.

In 2019, 29-year-old Willard was found buried in the backyard of a St. Martin home after a missing person report was filed for her.

York was sentenced to life for first-degree murder. He was also sentenced to ten years for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

York will serve both sentences concurrently.
