Local film premieres at Southern States Indie Fan Film Fest
A film shot right here on the Coast made its premiere tonight at the Palace Casino Resort.
“Easy Does It,” a retro-stylized 70s road movie, premiered at the Southern States Indie Fan Film Fest. Much of the movie was shot in South Mississippi, including many key scenes in Bay St. Louis.
The movie features Linda Hamilton, who is best known for role as Sarah Conner in the ‘Terminator’ franchise, and Bryan Batt, a regular on the hit series “Mad Men.”
“Easy Does It” star and New Orleans native Matthew Martinez tells News 25 filming the movie really made him cherish the Gulf Coast. “It was nice to see your hometown in a different way and then see the surrounding areas like Mississippi, and Texas, to see it in a whole new way. And really, for what we were looking for, finding the old areas of these states and cities, it was really, it was special to really dive in and find those old areas.”
“Easy Does It” does expect to soon be on a streaming service. Be sure to follow them on Facebook for updates on their wide release.
