Summer wrap up at Mississippi Aquarium

When it comes to Labor Day festivities, it seems like a lot of people had the same idea.

The Mississippi Aquarium was full of family and friends coming together to celebrate Labor Day. The touch pool, which is located on the top floor of Aquatic Wonders, was filled with guests watching and learning about sea creatures.

Another popular place was the tunnel where people are completely surrounded by tanks. Public Relations and Communications Manager Jeff Clark said, “We had a lot of people Saturday and Sunday, we have a huge crowd today. It’s been a great wave before school gets back in because there’s not another break for a while for people to come out with families and just celebrate kinda the end of summer.”

Events coming up at the aquarium this fall include the Mermaid and Pirates Exhibit, Otter Trotter 5K, and Santa Claus and Cupcakes.
