Ocean Springs Police Ask Public to Report Any Business Contract Violations After Home Repair Fraud Arrest

Ocean Springs police have arrested and charged a South Mississippi man with home repair fraud and are asking for any other possible victims to call them. Police arrested Michael Jolley of Gulfport earlier this week after an investigation into a contractual agreement with Michael Jolley and his business, J&B Windows and Patios for news windows and patio at a residence in Ocean Springs.

Police say the victim was quoted a final price of $12,771.52 and work was to begin the first week of October, and the victim paid Jolley $6,385.76 up front, and was going to pay the remainder of the balance upon completion of the work. According to investigators, since the signing of this contract and exchange of money, Jolley has failed to do any work, purchase materials or obtain a building permit through the city.

After conducting a business search with the Secretary of State, it was discovered Jolley’s company, J&B Custom Windows and Patios was dissolved back in September of 2018.
Anyone with any information regarding Michael Jolley or his business should call the Ocean Springs Police Department at 228-875-2211.
