New policy allows dogs in restaurants
The Mississippi State Department of Health issued a new policy today allowing dog owners to bring their pets to restaurants.
This comes under certain conditions and requirements to make sure health and safety of the public is not compromised.
Here’s how it works: the policy says restaurants must have a separate outside entrance to the dog-friendly area with proper signage and pets are not allowed through indoor or non-designated outdoor portions of the restaurant.
Dogs must stay on a leash and not come in contact with any non-disposable dishes.
