Halloween safety tips

Before you get into your trick-or-treating festivities tomorrow, here are a few safety tips from the City of Biloxi.

Trick-or-treat only in well-known neighborhoods at homes that have a porch light on. Also, a parent or responsible adult should always accompany young children on their neighborhood rounds.

Another key safety tip involves Halloween candy. The Biloxi Police Department reminds adults to wait until children are home to sort and check treats. Joey Payne with Biloxi PD said, “Make sure that none of the candy has been opened. Make sure that the candy is actually what it says it is. If it looks like it’s been tampered with, throw it away.”
