Florida’s best dressed pets show off their Halloween costumes

Key West’s best dressed pets were strutting their stuff!

Pets and their owners took part in the annual ‘Fantasy Fest Pet Masquerade’ Wednesday night, marking the 40th year of the event.

Nearly 40 entries showed off their best costumes including ‘The Tortoise and the Hare,’ a family dressed as characters from the movie “Toy Story,” and even some pirates!

But, the top prize went to Diana Benton and her two cats, dressed as country music stars Dolly Parton and Willie Nelson.

All proceeds from the pet masquerade benefit the Lower Keys Friends of Animals.

The festival will continue through the weekend with the ‘Fantasy Fest Parade’ that’s expected to bring more than 50,000 attendees on Saturday and a headdress ball on Sunday.
